The hardest part of moving was letting go of all the people and places I loved in Maryland - I grew up there and had some deep roots that I didnt realize Id have to let go of in order to build a new home somewhere else, and some of the things that got left behind arent easily replaceable.

Qasim, aka this months spotlight member, is also in it for the first time and was very nervous going into his heat Friday night -- but he didnt die and totally crushed it.

I finish every open with something new to work on and then I get to try it out the next year.
