So how'd we do on 16.1?

That's a question I want you to answer and also a question I want to answer for you!How was it for you guys? Awful? Exhilirating? Both? It's usually both...[caption id="attachment_336" align="aligncenter" width="474"]

This photo is saved on my computer as "lange dead".[/caption]In my opinion, that ranked as one of the harder Open WODs I've ever done merely for the length of it. Lunging around the gym for 20 minutes (which is basically what I felt like I did) was not how I wanted to spend my Monday. Nor did I want to spend my Tuesday and Wednesday walking like a newborn calf but that's what I did. If you did it then WELL DONE. I'm super proud of you guys who are competing for the very first time and proud of the intensity and enthusiasm EVERYONE brought to the gym on Friday night. I had so much fun in there with you guys and I absolutely can't wait for this Friday.

Renew Leaderboard and Shoutouts

We got to see some really terrific performances all of you guys and the race for the fittest at Renew is going to be awesome - particularly on the ladies side. Here is what the leaderboard looks like for the ladies

1 - Jess Rhodes (151 reps)

2 - Becky Miller (135 reps)

3 - Paige Jones (127 reps)

4 - Becca Phillips (98 reps)

5 - Becca Harris (71 reps)

On the men's side the gap between No. 1 and No. 2 is a bit larger but...it's only one WOD. Here's the Top 5 for the men:

1 - Justin Hroch (234 reps)

2 - Russell Hene (184 reps)

3 - Austin Jones (168 reps)

4 - Philip Edsel (165 reps)

5 - Stephen Crawford (163 reps)

Hroch scored 223 on Friday night then came back on Monday, re-did it, and added another 11 reps. His score puts him in a tie for 517th in the South Central region and in the top 5% in the world. Way to go my man![caption id="attachment_337" align="aligncenter" width="474"]

Michael Watson on his way to 156 reps and a tie for 7th in the box after Week 1.

The man threw down 164 reps in the Master's Scaled Division and when he was done he flashed the big Vasko grin and said, "Let's do it again!". I love Vasko and the enthusiasm he shows for his fitness and for Renew. Also, big props to Russ, Austin, Edsel, and Paige for also doing that WOD twice. Bunch of psychos...I hope you guys are as excited about 16.2 as I am. At least I'm excited about being back in the box on Friday night with you guys. As far as actually doing 16.2? Eh...[caption id="attachment_335" align="aligncenter" width="474"]

"Hroch, I think you can get 223 reps BUT if you come back Monday I think it will be 234. But I'm just guessing..."
