Q: What brought you to Renew and how long have you been a member?
A: I was overweight and close to having type 2 diabetes. I have been a member for over 6 months!
Q: Where are you from? If not here, when did you move here?
A: Austin, TX.
Q: One year from now, what do you hope to have mastered? What skill or lift do you hope to add to your wheelhouse?
A: I want to continue gaining new skills and I want to climb the rope. I also want to be able to do a kipping pull-up.
Q: What’s your favorite movement?
A: Both American and Russian kettlebell swings.
Q: What’s something Renew has taught you about your fitness?
A: That I am not too old to lift weights. A healthy body is stronger than a weak body.
Q: What do you do outside of the gym? Both for work and play?
A: I’m a science teacher. My husband, Greg, and I like to go on hikes.
Q: What's your favorite eatery in Austin?
A: I love Picnik.
Q: Tell us something we don’t know about you.
A: I’m a singer.
